Okay, I don't know, I think I'm just a wild and crazy knitter. I re-swatched for Mystic Light using US Size 4s. I like it so much better and will be using these. The wild and crazy thing is my blocked measurements are the same as when I swatched in US Size 5s, 14cm x 8 cm. I probably blocked this one a little harder and still not as hard as I will the finished shawl so it should work just fine. Take a look at the previous post and this one and let me know what you think.
Oh,yeah, some people are blaming me for getting them into various KALs. It ain't my problem if you have an addiction problem!!!!! :)

I think it is still very pretty no matter what size needle you are using though I will say this looks pretty good.
Oh yes - I like it much better - good stitch definition as well as lacy-ness. Love it!
I agree, you seem to have found a good balance on the size 4s. While I can tell that you blocked it more thoroughly (the YOs are bigger and more defined) the stockinette portions still look substantial enough.
I tend to knit lace with size 4s or smaller... well, I used to knit lace on small needles, before I became a Homework Machine...
Looking forward to seeing how it comes together!
Yup, this one's better. Your yarn is lovely by the way.
That looks great and what a firey colour!
Very pretty. i really like that colour. I want to finish some of the other KALs but I have joined this as well gonna see if there is any yarn when I am in Belgium
Love the colorway. Swatch #2 appeals to me more. Not sure whether it's the needle change or the blocking, but I think this is where you want to go.
That's very pretty, such a lovely color!
Yeah, the second one is more defined - probably because you blocked it tighter, as you said.
And we only blame you for the KAL thing because you keep finding them first and telling us about it. If one of us found them first, well, then... (and I hope no one is *actually* complaining about having more gorgeous things to knit!)
This one looks better, pretty! I like it! I'm waiting ambitiously beginning of the KAL:)
I do like the size 4 better. I expected the yarnovers to be smaller and they are not. I'm glad you knitted it up, I might have been too eager and just got started with the size 5. Yet another fine knitting lesson I have learned from reading your blog.
Wild and Crazy is right! I'm doing good to knit! LOL I'm looking forward to trying to learn some new stitches. Your knitting is beautiful!
I like this one better. 4's are so tiny. I just got my new needles but haven't had a QUIET moment to sit and swatch. I tried to swatch in front of the TV, that did not work. I may have to go sit on the deck with the cats. They would want to help but they are quiet.
