Yesterday's Labor

The fruit of yesterday's labor. I am fairly happy with it, particularly since it is only my second skeins of Romney spun up and my first time dyeing. The picture doesn't show the true color. It is actually what I would call a burnt orange.

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do it besides hang it on the door with the other skeins. :)

I have begun spinning the conglomerate ball of fiber. I'm about half through. I will have pictures here shortly. It is going fairly well. If you've read my posts from on back I talked about "friendly fibers." These fibers aren't quite as friendly as the Romney fellers. They require a lot more twist and from my experience with 'em they either don't like to hold hands with the fibers around them or they want to hold on for dear life!!!! You have to kinda trick 'em. As you are drafting you have to let them think you are just letting them slide by and then you get 'em with THE TWIST!!!! You'll see!!!!!
