Another First

Do you remember this? Some beautiful green merino Abby stuck in an order of silk I got from her. Some of it spun up.

How about this? A conglomerate of blends Abby sent with the same order just so I could try it out. And it spun up.

Well, here it is all spun and plied together. It was my first time spinning either and I'm fairly happy. You know, I know that I don't spin as thin as many, but I'm having fun and maybe that will come with time. I have 236 yards, any ideas of what I should do with it? I was thinking about maybe a scarf. Give me your thoughts though.

Peggy, your spinning is heavenly!! I love those colors and it looks so well done :) I think a thin scarf would be gorgeous out of that green.Be sure to bring it to B&N this week, ok? Can't wait!!

Peggy, your yarn looks wonderful, isnt this the greatest "hobby, craft, therapy" there is? :) I vote for a scarf, they are useful and will show off your talent and great looking yarn :).

You have spun some beautiful yarn! I like your scarf idea. I have a diamond garter stitch one from Fiber Trends. I'm also thinking fingerless gloves if you feel like you have enough scarves. Either way, you will have something stunning to wear.

It's beautiful!! Perhaps when I grow up I'll learn to spin.

The yarn look beautiful, like the colours. Have you decided what to knit of it?

Peggy, your yarn is so yummy! I think it looks pretty good and the fact that you enjoyed spinning it is all that matters. I also admire your MS3. I have dabbled knitting lace, but am trying to squeeze in way too much before school starts again. I bought my first fleece last week...need I say more?
